Frequently asked questions.

  • Somatic work is a body-based approach to emotional awareness and healing. It focuses on how stress, trauma, and emotion are held in the body, and supports people in gently reconnecting with their physical and emotional experiences.

  • This is not therapy and does not replace clinical treatment. As a somatic facilitator in training, I hold space for emotional exploration through tools like breath awareness, nervous system regulation, and guided reflection—but I do not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice.

  • This work is for anyone curious about deepening their connection to their body and emotions—especially those who feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or emotionally stuck. It can support those who are therapy-averse or have already done some therapeutic work and want something more experiential.

  • Each session is tailored to you, but often includes breath awareness, body scanning, somatic inquiry, and space to reflect. You’ll be gently guided to notice what’s present in your body, process emotion with compassion, and explore ways to regulate or respond to what arises.

  • Not at all. This space is for beginners and seasoned explorers alike. We go at your pace.

  • Yes. While I am still in training, my approach is grounded in safety, consent, and care. I honor your boundaries and capacity in every session.

  • Right now, I’m offering free practice sessions as part of my training. Visit the Sessions page for details.
